Which is more cost effective, a Virtual Assistant or a new employee?

Recruiting or Outsourcing, what's best?

When you compare the costs of hiring a VA to employing someone either in a part-time or full-time position, using a VA can save you some serious money.

Employees come with a range of expenses, including salaries, national insurance, office equipment, training costs, and even their tea or coffee. These costs can quickly mount up.

On the other hand, a VA is hired on a contract basis, which means that your business only pays for hours worked.

There are 2 main ways to work with your VA, either on an ad-hoc hourly basis, or on an agreed set number of retained hours each month.

The difference between ad-hoc and retained hours is that retained hours will give you guaranteed hours each month that are reserved for you to use as you need.

Both retained hours and ad-hoc hours allow you to set and manage your budget, knowing exactly what your outgoings are each month. (Just remember to let your VA know if you have a maximum budget if you opt for ad-hoc to avoid any surprises!)

It’s not just the salary cost you’ll be saving on though, you’ll also be saving on office equipment, heating, and lighting.

We also supply our own tea, coffee, and biscuits too!

A Virtual Assistant comes with years of experience and is an expert in the services they offer. They’ll zip through the tasks that feel like they take you forever, saving you both time and money. (You’re only going to pay for the hours they work, not the hours it would take you to do it)

Remember a VA is unlike an employee and can be hired on an as-needed basis, allowing your business to scale your support up or down depending on your needs. This flexibility makes sure that you can stay in control of your costs and grow at a pace that suits you.

I offer packages from as little as 2 hours a month and up to 30 hours a month.
